Terms of service

What you're agreeing to

By creating an account or using the API or MCP server, you agree to these terms. If you're using Survey on behalf of a company, you confirm you have the authority to accept on its behalf. If we materially change these terms, we'll email account owners 30 days before the change takes effect.

Acceptable use

• You may not use Survey to send unsolicited surveys at scale.
• You may not collect responses from people who have not consented to take a survey.
• You may not attempt to reverse-engineer billing limits or rate-limits.
• You are responsible for the legality of the questions you ask and the responses you collect, including compliance with applicable privacy laws.

Your content

Surveys you author and responses respondents submit through your projects belong to you. We host them on your behalf. We do not claim ownership and we do not use your content to train AI models. You can export everything as JSON or CSV at any time.

Pricing and billing

• The current pricing is published at /pricing.
• We bill per response volume, not per seat. Members and agents are unlimited.
• Paid subscriptions auto-renew monthly until cancelled. Cancel any time from the dashboard's billing page; service continues until the end of the current period.
• We may meter overage at the published per-response rate when you exceed your tier's quota.

Service availability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee zero downtime. Live status is at /status. The service is provided “as-is” without warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any single claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend accounts that violate these terms — we'll give you written notice except in cases of clear abuse, fraud, or legal risk. After termination we keep response data for 30 days so you can export, then delete it.

Open source

The SDK (survey) and schema package (@getsurvey/schema) are MIT licensed and on GitHub. The hosted dashboard, MCP server, and infrastructure are commercial.
